ITALIAN RING-SHAPED CAKE
BASE RECIPE
A versatile recipe that can be used for many versions, simply adding particular ingredients!
ITALIAN RING-SHAPED CAKE
Ingredients:
Yoghurt: 125g (= 1 pot)
Eggs: 3
Sugar: 2 pots
Flour: 4 pots
Seed oil: 1 pot
Rum: 1 pot
Salt: 1 level teaspoon
Baking powder: 16g
Vanillin: 1 packet
How to do it:
1) Beat eggs with sugar. Add all ingredients, flour at last.
2) Grease with butter a cake tin and flour it. Pour the mixture in it.
3) Bake for 30 minutes, 180° C.
Some tips:
– Replace half of the flour with cornflour: the cake will become even softer!
– Alternatives: chocolate slivers, fruit dices, jam, marbled surface… But my favourite one is with chocolate slivers into AND over the cake!
